Green Acrylic

I knew within the five minutes of painting this that it would eventually get painted over. It’ll add some nice texture to a future acrylic painting. So, heres a quick, thalo green study of my cat. Maybe I’ll finish it. I don’t know. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow.

More Kitties, Kinda

“Not everything I paint has to be a masterpiece.”  That was my mantra that got me to start working again after a very long break. Its easier said than accepted. I spent a very long time working on quite a few pieces today. These are the only two I’m satisfied with. Tomorrow is another day.

Time for an oil painting.

It is Sunday, so lets be nostalgic. I think this is the oldest oil painting I still keep in my portfolio. Before this one I knew I liked painting fabric, but I didn’t quite understand my passion.

Here are some details:

Still Life with Fabric.   Oil on canvas. 36″x23″. 2004.

Ready to hang: $500.00

Oh, my Wawa coffee.

I know I missed a sketchbook Saturday last week. I am sorry. But guess what! This week I didn’t forget. Here you are. Nothing fancy, but thats why it is a sketchbook.

First Tree from the Right

I painted another landscape. It turned into a tree painting like the first, but I’m very happy with it. This one has an incomplete sibling. That’ll be another day. They are my first watercolor on canvas panel works.

First Tree from the Right. Watercolor and colored pencil on canvas board. 8″x10.”
